2 Vehicle Listing Standards

  • Accurate Descriptions:

    All vehicle specifications, features, and conditions must be accurately described.

  • Authentic Photos:

    Only use actual photos of the specific vehicle being sold. Stock photos or photos of similar vehicles are prohibited.

  • Fair Pricing:

    Prices must be accurate and competitive. Misleading pricing practices are not allowed.

  • Disclosure of Defects:

    Any known defects, accident history, or mechanical issues must be clearly disclosed in the listing.

  • Timely Updates:

    Listings must be updated or removed promptly when vehicles are sold or no longer available.

3 Communication Standards

  • Prompt Response:

    Respond to buyer inquiries within 24 hours during business days.

  • Professional Communication:

    Maintain professional and courteous communication at all times.

  • Honest Answers:

    Provide truthful answers to all buyer questions about vehicles.

  • No Pressure Tactics:

    Avoid high-pressure sales tactics that may make buyers uncomfortable.

4 Transaction Standards

  • Clear Documentation:

    Provide all necessary documentation for vehicle ownership and transfer.

  • No Hidden Fees:

    All fees must be disclosed upfront. No last-minute surprise charges.

  • Honor Commitments:

    Honor all agreed-upon prices, terms, and conditions.

  • Safe Transactions:

    Conduct all transactions in safe, verifiable environments.

5 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension:

  • Listing vehicles you do not own or have authority to sell
  • Tampering with odometers or concealing vehicle history
  • Selling stolen or salvage vehicles without disclosure
  • Using fake reviews or testimonials
  • Bait-and-switch tactics
  • Discrimination against buyers based on ethnicity, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics
  • Fraudulent financial practices

6 Verification Requirements

All dealers must maintain their verified status by:

  • Keeping business registration documents current
  • Allowing periodic physical inspections of business premises
  • Maintaining accurate contact and business information
  • Cooperating with AutoSense Africa quality assurance processes

7 Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes with buyers, dealers agree to:

  • Engage in good-faith negotiations to resolve issues
  • Cooperate with AutoSense Africa's mediation process
  • Provide documentation and evidence as requested
  • Honor resolutions reached through mediation

8 Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Written warnings
  • Temporary suspension of listing privileges
  • Removal of verification badge
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to relevant authorities for serious violations
